ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Sets the strategy of the commercial department in alignment with the company one and related objectives
2. Assists in setting the yearly budgets/targets of sales and profit per warehouse and category
3. Creates business plans and implements them to achieve targets
4. Identifies, establishes and manages long-term partnerships with vendors dependent on the current strategy
5. Approves the price positioning per category
6. Validates inventory-related variances
7. Negotiates and sets contracts and deals with all the vendors along with the category managers
8. Sets the rules and plan along with the marketing department, then, directs the selling of promotional initiatives to vendors
9. Conducts and oversees different market and global analytics to enhance the commercial strategy, assortment positioning, trends, pricing, etc.
10. Overlooks the development of commercial reports based on ERP, Power Bi, portal, and any other automated mean
11. Leads to the achievement of a targeted gross profit including management of shrinkage, near-expiry stock-aging, returns; and covers the commercial cost centers along with the P&L
12. Oversees the development of the products catalog in terms of categorization, visuals, description, and pricing
13. Approves the price structure including the cost, commercial terms, price monitoring, and RSPs, respecting the margins per category while adapting to market
14. Coordinates with the Demand Planning Department continuously to avail the right number of stocks without going out or over-placing
15. Develops plans to adjust overstock
16. Coordinates with the Operations Department continuously to ensure actions related to products are being done in a timely manner (transfers, adjustment, replenishment, returns…)
17. Analyzes data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends per area
18. Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
1. BA in Business Administration or any equivalent degree
2. Master’s Degree is a plus
